Case Studies

Manufacturing firm

The Challenge: This firm, which manufactures parts for the Mercedes plant in Alabama, desired to reduce its long-term energy use and related costs without sacrificing light levels.

Our Solution: After a careful analysis of the manufacturer’s current energy use, Scott Services recommended replacing the plant’s 460-watt fixtures with more efficient 218-watt fixtures to take advantage of today’s more-efficient lighting technologies. We replaced 600 fixtures, resulting in ongoing savings that will cover the cost of the conversion in approximately 30 months. In addition, the manufacturer qualified for a substantial tax credit under the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Regions Bank

The Challenge: Replace signage at 20 locations with new Regions logo within a 30-day period.

Our Solution: When Regions Bank and AmSouth Bank merged, all signs had to be replaced with new signs featuring the Regions logo.  This project was part of a massive multi-state effort. Working with Regions’ national coordinator, Scott Services replaced the signs and complete the necessary electrical work in 20 locations. In addition, Scott Services completed the electrical work for sign changes in another 160 locations.

Bruno's Supermarkets

The Challenge: After acquiring 14 stores, Bruno's sought to change signs on the stores within a short time period. This was deemed important in achieving market awareness and establishing the Bruno's brand for the new stores.

Our Solution: Scott Services organized a major effort to change the signs and complete necessary electrical work within a three-day time period, beginning on a Friday and working through the weekend. By Monday morning, the signs were in place.
